The Supply team carries a triad of responsibilities: managing the chauffeur app, the web-based sign-up process culminating in accreditation at the Wheely Academy, and the back-office tools for our Operations and Customer Experience teams.

The chauffeur app is instrumental in shaping the day-to-day experiences of thousands of chauffeurs across four countries. It makes their daily jobs easier and helps them deliver a luxury service to our passengers. Offering an outstanding product experience is essential to growing, retaining and engaging our chauffeur network.

We are looking for a Golang Backend Engineer to join the Supply team, who will play a crucial role in enhancing our service quality by developing our domain services for partners and chauffeurs.

RESPONSIBILITIES

— Help to build the architecture for new products and services to support the company's strategy for scalable and repeatable growth in EMEA

— Interact with mobile engineers and improve the API for mobile applications, including the WebSocket communication

— Maintain a regular flow of medium-sized feature deliveries that greatly help to increase the quality of service and the experience of our chauffeurs and, therefore, of our customers

— Contribute to our architectural & technical plans to improve our backend: we are actively migrating from the Ruby monolith to Go services

REQUIREMENTS

— 3+ years of experience in the development of web-based applications with Golang (experience with Ruby or Node.js will be beneficial)

— Proficient with MongoDB, PostgreSQL, or other major database solutions

— Has experience with distributed task queues for asynchronous service interactions

— Team player with strong and effective interpersonal and communication skills (both written and verbal) with a willingness to assume responsibility

— Adept at documenting efforts, actions, and results
